Does your IBD Nurse mean a lot to you?

Do you have a specialist Crohn’s and Colitis (IBD) Nurse? Would you put them forward to win an award to support their further professional development?

This is your chance to tell us what your IBD Nurse means to you, and to celebrate the valuable role of IBD nurses everywhere. Your nomination will support our struggle to retain their services against growing pressure on NHS budgets.

Working in partnership with Gastrointestinal Nursing (GI) Magazine, we will be putting your nominations to a specialist judging panel which will include a nurse specialist, a Trustee of our charity, a Patient Member, and a representative from GI magazine.

Your nurse may be called a Colitis and Crohn’s Nurse, an IBD Nurse, Gastroenterology, Colorectal or Stoma Care Nurse.

The results will be announced early in 2012 at an event to which winning and shortlisted nominators and nominees will be invited, and celebrated at our 2012 National Conference and AGM on April 14th, at the Mermaid Theatre, in London.

Prize money of £1,000 and two runners-up prizes of £500 each will be awarded to the hospitals concerned, for use in supporting the continuing professional development of the winning nurse(s).

The closing date for receiving your nomination is Tuesday 15 November at 12pm.
