It’s a Knockout - St Albans, Sunday 17 July
Anyone up for joining the charity ToileTrolls team in silly games involving
giant inflatables and a dromedary sumo horse to raise awareness and funds?

These are just a few of the comments made by people who took part in our
2010 It’s a Knockout Charity Challenge, raising funds and awareness, and
raising their own business profiles too. Take a
look at our film of the
event… We’re hoping Knockout 2011 will be even bigger and better.
We
Need:
Adult Teams (minimum 15
years) - 10 men and women (at least four of each) plus two subs
Children’s Teams (minimum
age 6 years) - six boys and girls
Sponsors - businesses,
organisations and individuals to sponsor various aspects of the event
Volunteers - to help on the
day
Spectators - to cheer the
teams on and have a lot of fun
Donations - prizes for
raffle and tombola
Adult Teams (minimum 15
years) Entry subject to terms and conditions
J ten men and
women (at least four of each) plus two subs

a team 'look'. Last year's looks included pirates, gladiators,
ToileTrolls and tartan tutus. Extra points for the best 2011 looks!
J
a team joker (card, figure, icon…). Extra points for the best jokers!
An event like Knockout is expensive to put on and the idea is raise
funds. We’re therefore suggesting:
J
a non-refundable entry donation of £300 per team payable on registration
J
sponsorship of at least £100 per team member (additional to the entry
donation) to be presented on the day (great photo opportunity) with
bonus points for the teams which raise even more
Children’s Teams (6 –
14 years) Entry subject to terms and conditions
J six children
(preferably a mix of boys and girls)
J we’re suggesting a non-refundable
entry donation of at least £5 per child
J sponsorship is optional but we
hope children will wish to fundraise and there’ll be a prize for the
child who raises the most by the day of the event
Sponsors
We're
looking for sponsors to support various aspects of the event such as:
- the First Aid station
- the programme
- the children’s event
- volunteer
co-ordination and support
- Crohn’s and Colitis UK’s own team
We’re more
than happy to acknowledge that support through signs at the event,
listing in the programme and listing on our website. Sponsorship
opportunities start from just £100.
Volunteers
We need volunteers to
help with:
- taking entrance money
- issuing programmes
- directing
traffic
- directing spectators
- running the side stalls
- setting up and clearing away

All participants must sign the
team entry form to show that they have read, understood
and accept these terms and conditions.
Parents of participants who are
under the ages of 18 years must also sign a consent
form.
I accept full responsibility for
my use of any and all equipment and facilities operated
by the Knockout Challenge, the NACC and the OAs at my
own risk and shall not hold The Knockout Challenge, the
National Association for Colitis and Crohn’s Disease
(NACC), the Old Albanian Rugby Club (OAs) and their
employees or agents liable for any loss, claim, injury,
damage, or liability sustained by me resulting there
from,
except for death or personal injury resulting from the
negligent act or omission of The Knockout Challenge, the
NACC, the OAs or their employees or agents. I understand
and accept that:
a) neither the NACC nor the OAs
are liable for the use of equipment or facilities
operated by Knockout Challenge, and
b) the activities that will be
offered could be strenuous and demanding so good health
and a degree of fitness level are required.
I also understand and agree that:
1. If I appear to be under the
influence of alcohol and/or drugs, I may be excluded
from the games without question.
2. I must make any previous
medical problems known to Knockout Challenge prior to
the commencement of the competition, particularly broken
bones and dislocations. Knockout Challenge may exclude
me if they feel I am unsuitable to take part in the
games or any part of them.
3. Games must be carried out as
demonstrated/explained only. I will only compete to a
level which safely matches my own ability and not
overstretch myself, especially where I may affect my own
or others’ safety.
4. It is a ‘fun’ games, and as
such bad behaviour or bad sportsmanship is not allowed.
If my behaviour is considered disruptive or dangerous to
the games or other participants I be required to leave.
5. Suitable foot wear such as
“trainers” should be worn at all times. Bare feet are
not allowed.
6. If I am under 18, I can only
participate with the written consent of my parent or
guardian given in the form provided.
7. I must report any injuries that
occur during the games to a member of Knockout Challenge
staff as soon as possible.
9. I consent to being photographed
whilst taking part and for any photographs featuring me
to be used for publicity purposes by Knockout Challenge,
the NACC and the OAs.
10. Subject to point 2,
participation in all or any part of the games is
entirely at my free will.
11. Neither the NACC nor the OAs
shall have any liability to me for any loss or
inconvenience caused by delay, change or cancellation of
all or part of the event. |
Donations
Raffle and tombola prizes very welcome in advance of
the event. Major prizes can be acknowledged in the programme and by
signs at the event. Prizes can be delivered to us at:
