Our Readers Panel provides feedback on our information, ensuring that we provide clear, relevant and helpful information for people with IBD.
Our Readers Panel provides essential feedback on our publications, information sheets and booklets, ensuring that the information we provide is clear, relevant and helpful for people with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD).
You don't need to have any special knowledge or training to join our Readers Panel – you just need to have experience of living with IBD or be a parent of a child with IBD, and be willing to use your experience to comment on our information from a reader's point of view.
What do Readers Panel members do?
If you join our Panel, we’ll email you a draft information sheet or booklet every 2-3 months along with some questions to answer while reviewing.
We may ask you, for example:
- Does the information use jargon or medical/scientific terms without sufficient explanation?
- Is there anything missing that you feel should be included?
This is not a writing, editing or proofing role, so we don’t ask you to comment on the grammar or punctuation.
You’ll have a couple of weeks to complete your review. If for any reason you can’t complete a review (for example, if you’re unwell or on holiday), you can just let us know and we’ll ask another Panel member.
