Amanda was elected to the Board of Trustees at our AGM in 2016.
I have first hand experience of the limiting and painful aspects of IBD as a patient and also as a carer – my mum and I were diagnosed separately, but at the same time in 2013. I strongly believe that diagnosis, treatment and information about IBD can be improved.
Professionally, for the last 14 years I have worked for the health service in England managing clinical services in hospitals, and leading programmes designed to improve patient outcomes across large populations. Most recently I have completed a Masters in Business Administration and now that I have my weekends back from studying, I want to offer my time to a cause about which I am deeply passionate.
I am incredibly proud to be a Trustee and to support the work of Crohn’s and Colitis UK.
