Lindsay was ellected to the Board of Trustees in February 2020

As a medical doctor, I have seen the devastating effects that Crohn's and colitis can have on patients and their families. This drove me to join Crohn's and Colitis UK as a trustee.

Having specialised in paediatrics, I want to make sure the charity listens to the views and voices of children and young people. While originally from Scotland, a hot spot for inflammatory bowel disease, I plan to champion the perspective of the four UK nations at the charity to make sure its work benefits everyone in the UK.

Outside of Crohn's and colitis UK, I work at the Wellcome Trust managing health related research projects that aim to make a difference to people around the world. This, along with my own scientific background, helps me keep up to date with cutting edge research around the world. I look forward to bringing this perspective to Crohn's and Colitis UK.

When not working, I love doing yoga, cooking, painting, traveling to exotic places and spending time with my family. I am happiest when at the beach!

I am honoured to be part of Crohn' and Colitis UK and really look forward to supporting it as it works to make life better for people living with IBD.
