Originally planned for Sunday 24th May, this year's Great Manchester Run has been postponed until Sunday 6th September.

We are so grateful for your commitment, resilience and amazing support. In the current climate, people living with Crohn’s and Colitis are relying on our services more than ever – and, because of our incredible fundraisers, like you, we’re able to be here for more of those affected by these conditions. Thank you.

We very much look forward to a fantastic event in September. We’ll be in touch soon, but if you have any questions in the meantime, please do email us.

We will be opening registrations for the 2021 Great Manchester Run later in the year. Email us to let us know that you are interested in joining the 2021 team, and we'll get in touch once registrations are open.

The Great Manchester Run route takes runners through the heart of Manchester, passing by iconic tourist sites such as the Imperial War Museum and Manchester United’s home ground, Old Trafford.

This is a great race for anyone, no matter what your ability. The run has an enormously wide appeal and attracts everyone from elite runners and celebs, to running novices.

Take a look at what the  Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run course has in store for you!

There will be regular music zones across the half-marathon and 10k routes with local DJs, live bands, choirs, drummers and cheering points.
A number of the events partners will also be on course to cheer you on with branded zones. These include the Garmin Forerunner zone at 3k and 8k on the 10k course and 9 miles and 12 miles on the half marathon course, the ‘Special K (Kilometre)’ at 4k on the 10k and 10 miles on the half marathon, the Lululemon Zone at 8.5k on the 10k and 12.5 miles on the half and the ENGIE support zone at 2k and 9k of the 10k course and 8.5 miles and 12.5 miles on the half.
Clint Boon’s Boon Army stage has been relocated so you hear him twice at 2.5k and 8.5k on the 10k and 9 miles and 12 miles on the half. Local Manchester DJ and model, Helen Stelling Holt, will play upbeat party house music, R&B funk and disco tunes at Old Trafford. Before you reach the finish line The Hacienda Zone has been introduced this year to create a club themed area, with a playlist created by Hacienda Club co-owner Peter Hook!
