The Inspiring Hertfordshire Awards were launched in 2012 to focus on and celebrate the expertise, achievements and outstanding contribution that businesses and individuals continually contributing to the growth of Hertfordshire.
Annie Swanston has been shortlisted for the award after being nominated by her employer Spire Harpenden Hospital. She has been raising awareness for those living with Crohn's Disease and Ulcerative Colitis for 16 years.
We are thrilled that Annie has been nominated for this local award as she has been a huge support for the charity in the last 16 years and it is great to see her honoured in this way.
She really is an inspiration; she spends her time to plan and organise amazing events throughout the year, raising vital funds for Crohn’s & Colitis UK. Her tireless fundraising efforts not only help to ensure that those people diagnosed with the conditions get the right care but also helps to raise awareness, enabling more people to understand the impact of these conditions and helping to tackle the stigma surrounding them. We are looking forward to the 13th June where we hope to see her crowned the winner as she truly deserves it.
