Pharmacy raises £11,000 for the fight against Crohn's and Colitis

Scottish chemist Davidsons raised over £11,000 for Crohn's & Colitis UK in 2018 after making us their Charity of the Year.

Davidsons 37 branches worked tirelessly throughout 2018, fundraising to improve the lives of people living with Crohn's and Colitis by taking part in events like Rough Runner and MacTuff, as well as hosting quizzes, raffles and bake sales, and having collection tins in all of their pharmacies.

We’re so grateful to them for their incredible efforts in raising a total of £11,196 – more than doubling their target - along with lots of awareness throughout the year.

Crohn’s & Colitis UK is an invaluable charity. Not only do they support people who have Crohn’s and Colitis but also their families and friends by breaking taboos, supporting and bringing people together, funding pioneering research, and campaigning to improve lives in hope of building a brighter future.

Special thanks goes to the top 3 fundraising branches – Aberfeldy who won branch of the year for the very first time, Thornton and Aboyne – who raised £3,887.92 between them.

We secured this Charity of the Year partnership due to recommendation from their fantastic staff followed by an online vote at the end of 2017.

Thank you to all our supporters who voted and shared, getting us 4,403 votes - which was 42.1% of all votes!
