Singer Lloyd Macey to open WALK IT Swansea

We are excited to announce that X Factor star Lloyd Macey will be returning to open WALK IT Swansea on Saturday 1 June.

Welsh singer Lloyd Macey was diagnosed with Crohn’s Disease in 2013 whilst studying at university and has helped to raise awareness by sharing his experiences on Loose Women and supporting Crohn's & Colitis UK's WALK IT events last year.

Lloyd will be joining thousands of people raising vital awareness and funds for those affected by Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis and will be taking part in the WALK IT event along the stunning seaside of Swansea.

I’m extremely excited and honoured to be opening the WALK IT event again this year. It was an emotional and empowering walk for everyone involved last year at Swansea. I shared my own experience and listened to others on the walk and that’s what it’s all about, speaking out and supporting each other. We all have Crohn's or Colitis, but Crohn's or Colitis doesn’t have us!

By signing up to WALK IT, you will be helping people living with Crohn's or Colitis find the confidence and support they need to speak up and will be helping to raise vital funds to find a cure.

The charity is here to support all of those taking part, whether they are in the middle of a flare, in remission or showing support for a loved one.

It takes guts to live with Crohn's and Colitis and that’s why the charity is bringing people together to march through the streets of Swansea, Birmingham, Bristol, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, Newcastle and Plymouth this summer.
