Northern Ireland

About us

Hello! Thanks for visiting the Northern Ireland Network page. We’re always interested in welcoming new people to our events and activities so do get in touch or come along to any of the events you find below. Our contact details can also be found on this page or you can reach us via the social media channels.

What is a Network?

We’re here for everyone affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. Right now, an estimated 500,000 people in the UK are living with a lifelong disease that many people have never heard of. And the real number could be almost double that.  Because of the stigma and misunderstanding surrounding these diseases, thousands of people are suffering in silence.

But they are not alone.

Our 50 Local Networks operate across the UK bringing local people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis together and raising awareness of the conditions with members of the public. From educational talks to social events, we help give people the comfort and confidence to live freer and fuller lives. And together, we can make our voice heard.

Volunteer with us!
We are always keen for new people to join our team. If you are interested in raising awareness and putting on events in the Northern Ireland area, please take a look at our opportunities.

In April 2019 we were successful in our BBC Radio Ulster/Radio Foyle broadcast appeal application.
The broadcast can be listened back to here with the supporting awareness videos here and here.
