Welcome to your February edition of Connect Now!

I hope you are well, and recent announcements have allowed you to feel hopeful, if still cautiously so, about the next few months. If you have any questions about how COVID-19, shielding or vaccinations may affect you, please take a look at the info on our website, or get in touch with our Helpline.

We are delighted to take this opportunity to announce new rounds of funding for IBD research. We will be spending at least £100,000 on research in 2021 and will keep members up to date with details of the projects as they are confirmed.
In the meantime, we haven’t been standing still. With the help of our patient representatives, the resources available to researchers are improving all the time.

In this month's Connect Now, we learn more about one of those research projects and how it will make a difference.

We also get inspired by some fantastic awareness and fundraising stories, as well as release some interesting new statistics in Wales, and we find out how healthcare is being improved in Scotland.

Thank you so much for being a member of our community, we couldn't do any of it without you.

If you have any queries about your membership, or you have any feedback or story ideas for Connect Now, please email us on membership@crohnsandcolitis.org.uk.
