How does Cake & a Cuppa work?

Cake & a Cuppa is a fundraising event, which can be held as a tea party, coffee morning, bake sale or anything fitting that works for you. 

Come together with friends, family, colleagues or the wider community to share stories, enjoy cake and raise vital funds for those affected by Crohn’s and Colitis. You can hold wherever you like: at work, at home, at school, at university, in your local community. 

When is Cake & a Cuppa?

You can host your Cake & a Cuppa event on any date that suits you. You must register to take part, register here. When you sign up, you’ll be asked to fill in your event date. 

Is there a registration fee? What is the fundraising target?

There is no registration fee, this event is free to take part in. Whilst there's no minimum fundraising target, every pound helps us support more people living with Crohn’s and Colitis. Whether you raise a little or a lot, your support truly makes a difference, and we’ll be here to help you every step of the way.

Is there a deadline for completing my Cake & a Cuppa?

No there is no deadline, but we encourage supporters to aim for their selected event date.

How do collect my donations? 

When you register, you’ll be given the option to set a Facebook fundraising page or JustGiving page, and of course, you can collect donations offline too.

How do I raise funds at my Cake & a Cuppa?

When will my fundraising pack arrive?

When you complete your registration form, you will automatically be signed up to receive a Cake & a Cuppa fundraising pack. From the point of registering, it can take up to 14 working days for it to arrive. If you've waited longer than this, please contact us at fundraising@crohnsandcolitis.org.uk, and we'll look into this for you.

What will my fundraising pack include?

Your pack will arrive in a Cake & a Cuppa branded envelop and it will contain: your welcome letter, Crohn's & Colitis UK information poster, blank poster, 10 Cake flags, Cake naming cards, Collection pot and Paper banner.

My business/employer wants to donate/match funds for my fundraising. How do they do this?

It’s wonderful that your employer would like to match fund you! The process varies a little between companies. If you can pop us an email over to fundraising@crohnsandcolitis.org.uk, we'll be more than happy to provide them with any further information they might need. 

How to pay in your donations

If you’ve raised money through a Facebook or JustGiving page, the donations will come straight to us – so you don’t need to do anything!

If you have raised money offline, here’s how to pay it in:
