Help design a research study about Colitis and medication options

Researchers at University of Nottingham are looking for people living with Ulcerative Colitis to help them design a study looking at the use of different medications.

Researchers at University of Nottingham are designing a trial comparing treatments for moderate to severe Ulcerative Colitis. They are comparing infliximab, given by infusion in hospital or injection at home, with tablet medicines called Janus kinase inhibitors, or JAK inhibitors, (filgotinib, upadacitinib, tofacitinib). These treatments are already used in clinical practice.

They would like feedback from people living with Colitis to learn more about what matters most to patients when deciding whether one treatment is better than another, and what level of difference would feel meaningful or acceptable.

To take part you must be:

  • an adult diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis
  • have been treated with an advanced therapy under NHS care.

If you decide to take part you will be asked to complete a short online survey and give your opinion on which of the medications should be compared to infliximab in the trial.

If you are interested in taking part, or would like more information about the study, please complete the form below or email shellie.radford1@nottingham.ac.uk

By completing the form you are not committing to taking part, but you will be directed to the study webpage for more information. You will have the opportunity to change your mind at any time.

This research study is NOT organised by Crohn's & Colitis UK and, therefore, we cannot take responsibility for your involvement in the research.
