Help to shape research about parental wellbeing in paediatric IBD

Researchers at the University of Oxford are looking for parents or carers of children aged 8-15 who have Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis or IBD-Unspecified. The researchers are particularly interested in hearing from people who have experience of managing their child's condition in everyday life.

This new study, will look at how caring for a child or young person with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), including Crohn’s Disease, Ulcerative Colitis or IBD-Unspecified, affects parents’ wellbeing.

The study will explore whether day-to-day caregiving demands, such as managing treatment, appointments, fatigue, emotional wellbeing, and school absence, are linked to parental burnout.

Before starting the study, the researchers would like to make sure that the materials are relevant, clear, sensitive, and reflect real-life experiences of parents or carers caring for a child with IBD. The researcher would like parents or carers of children aged 8-15 who have Crohn's Disease, Ulcerative Colitis or IBD-Unspecified to help review a set of questions to help shape the research.

By entering your details, you are not committing to take part, but your contact details will be forwarded to the researcher who will get in touch with you directly with more information. You will have the opportunity to change your mind at any time.

This research study is NOT organised by Crohn's & Colitis UK and, therefore, we cannot take responsibility for your involvement in the research.
