Patient Advisory Group opportunity - MERMAID

Researchers are looking for adults living with Crohn's or Colitis to join a Patient Advisory Group to help them develop their research project.

Researchers at University of Manchester are developing a project called MERMAID. This study is a five-year research programme aiming to improve how to use evidence to make treatment decisions for immune-mediated inflammatory diseases (IMIDs), including inflammatory bowel disease.

The researchers would like adults living with Crohn's or Colitis to join their Patient Advisory Group to make sure their study is designed to best meet the needs of people with lived experience.

If you decide to take part you will be asked to join a one-off online meeting with the researchers, lasting about 1 hour, to review a summary of the proposal and feedback on the study. You will be asked for your thoughts on whether you think the study design is appropriate and relevant to people living with the conditions.

The meeting will be held 1 April 2026 at 2pm (online).

If you are interested in taking part, or would like more information about the study, please complete the form below by 25 March 2026.

By entering your details, you are not committing to take part, but your contact details will be forwarded to the researcher who will get in touch with you directly with more information. You will have the opportunity to change your mind at any time.

This research study is NOT organised by Crohn's & Colitis UK and, therefore, we cannot take responsibility for your involvement in the research.
