Researchers at the University of Gloucester are looking for parents and guardians to explore their understanding about the fatigue experienced by the young person (aged 13-18) they care for who live with Inflammatory Bowel Disease.
Caregivers' perspectives of fatigue experienced by their young relative living with IBD
This study which is part of the Picturing IBD Fatigue project, funded by Crohn’s & Colitis UK aims to broaden understanding of how fatigue is experienced by young people living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease IBD). This study will explore the understandings of parents and carers and how they perceive the impact of IBD fatigue on their relative’s life.
Eligible participants for the study are parents and guardians who live in the UK with a young person who is:
- aged 13-18
- lives with IBD such as Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis
- experiences fatigue as part of their IBD
Participants will be required to communicate in English and take part in one online focus group with up to five other family members of young people with IBD.
