Researchers at University of Wolverhampton are looking for adults who have been diagnosed with Crohn's Disease or Ulcerative Colitis at least six months ago to take part in a new study.
Exploring experiences of Inflammatory Bowel Disease diagnosis.
Researchers at University of Wolverhampton are looking to learn more about people’s experiences of receiving a diagnosis of Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis. It focuses on how individuals experienced the time during diagnosis.
The purpose of the study is to better understand how people make sense of being diagnosed with a long-term condition and how this experience fits into their everyday lives over time. The study involves listening to people’s personal accounts through one-to-one interviews. By gathering and exploring these experiences, the study aims to add to existing knowledge about diagnosis in IBD. This may help inform how diagnosis is communicated and supported in the future.
To take part you must be:
- over 18
- diagnosed with Crohn's or Ulcerative Colitis at least 6 months ago.
If you decide to take part you will have an interview with the researcher, they will ask you to share details about your experiences with diagnosis. The interview will last 30-60 minutes and will be online.
If you are interested in taking part, or would like more information about the study, please complete the form below.
By entering your details, you are not committing to take part, but your contact details will be forwarded to the researcher who will get in touch with you directly with more information. You will have the opportunity to change your mind at any time.
