Take part in an epidemiology research workshop in Sheffield - Monday 2 November 2026

Crohn's & Colitis UK and Coeliac UK are jointly funding researchers at the Universities of Bristol and Sheffield to conduct an epidemiology project to investigate the prevalence of the following conditions:

  • Inflammatory bowel disease: Crohn's disease, Ulcerative colitis, Microscopic colitis, IBD indeterminate
  • Coeliac disease
  • Dermatitis herpetiformis
  • Gluten ataxia
  • Co-occurring coeliac disease with either type 1 diabetes mellitus, migraines or autoimmune thyroid disease

The research teams will be holding a half day workshop in central Sheffield on Monday 2 November 2026. The purpose of this workshop is to gather the lived experiences of people living with one or more of these conditions being explored in this study. This is so the research can reflect the experiences and priorities it aims to benefit.

If you are available and would be interested in taking part in the half day workshop, the research teams would be grateful if you could complete the expression of interest survey using the form in this advert. You will be directed to the survey page.

Please note that places at the event are limited, and to ensure people with a range of experiences are included, the researchers may not be able to invite everyone who expresses an interest.  The researchers appreciate your understanding.

This research activity is NOT organised by Crohn's & Colitis UK and, therefore, we cannot take responsibility for your involvement in the activity.
