Researchers at Birmingham City University are looking for adult men who have been diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) and who have sex with men, to take part in a study to develop an understanding of what it means to be a gay, bi+ or queer man living with IBD.
The experience of men who have sex with men living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease
This study aims to learn more about the ways in which IBD can intersect with sexuality to shape the ways in which participants might navigate their relationships, including their relationship with their body.
To be eligible to take part in the study, participants should be:
• Men who have sex with men (inclusive of cisgender, and transgender men)
• Diagnosed with Inflammatory Bowel Disease
• Living in the United Kingdom
• Aged 18+
• A good written and spoken understanding of English.
• Able to access and utilise MS Teams for the purpose of taking part in the interview
