Black Friday and Christmas Shopping - other ways to give

The nights are closing in; it’s that time of year again! Black Friday is on it’s way and everything is out for Christmas, so if you are online shopping in general or buying your Christmas presents you can donate while you shop!

By shopping with Amazon you can donate via Amazon Smile. Simply log in to your Amazon account and shop through the Amazon Smile website and a donation will be made for each eligible purchase. The first time you shop you’ll be asked to pick your charity, then from time to time you will be updated on how much has collectively been donated to your chosen charity. Every donation helps us support those with Crohn's or Colitis.

Of course, there are lots of other ways you can support us. Easy Fundraising, Give as You Live and Savoo all allow you to donate while you do your online shopping. These include big brands such as John Lewis and Argos. You can even set reminders to ensure you shop through the websites and get the vital donations.

Perhaps you are looking to have a clear out? You could donate your unwanted items to Vintage Giving and donate to Crohn’s & Colitis UK at the same time. It’s free and easy to organise. Vintage Giving accept lots of items including old currency, costume jewellery and cameras and will even collect your donations for free!

From all of us at Crohn’s & Colitis UK – Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
