Crohn's and Colitis Support is a volunteer-run service, created to support with the psychological impact that Crohn's and Colitis may have.
Initially called NACC in Contact (National Association for Crohn’s and Colitis), Crohn's and Colitis Support has grown and now has supported hundreds of people through the years.
I just want to say thank you to the volunteer who helped me open up as I’ve just been diagnosed, it has helped me to feel like I’m not alone and talk through these feelings I’ve been carrying.
This service is made up of volunteers who are trained in providing emotional support. All our volunteers have personal experience of Crohn’s or Colitis.
Callers can talk to them openly and honestly about living with your condition or how you are affected by someone else with the condition.
I’ve being struggling to deal with my partner’s Crohn’s, as it’s been so tough to see her go through what she has. I just wish I’d known about this line sooner, there’s so many people that need support like this.
It can be very challenging living with Crohn's and Colitis and so if you ever felt that things are getting on top of you or you are finding it difficult having or supporting someone with Crohn's or Colitis, then please phone our Helpline Team and make an appointment on 0300 222 5700.
