Get involved with your Local Network!

Published: 13 September 2017

Crohn’s & Colitis UK volunteers have been delivering a fantastic range of activities in local communities for over 35 years. Thousands of people have been reached by our Local Network volunteers - sign up today for your chance to gather together with others and raise the profile of Inflammatory Bowel Disease

The long-lasting impact of Local Networks can be found in individuals, friendships and throughout the communities that are formed by coming together. There is a significant impact to be had in local healthcare too.

This year alone, between January and June over 220 events took place from Inverness to Penzance, to bring the Inflammatory Bowel Disease community together. Education, information and social events are held to share expert knowledge, distribute publications and provide a relaxed space for people to come together.

Alongside this, are community-focussed, awareness and fundraising activities designed to spread the news of Inflammatory Bowel Disease – what it is, who it affects and how you can help, by getting involved as a fundraiser, member, volunteer or general supporter of the charity.

We raise funds which provides equipment to help IBD nurses and hospitals.

If you’re interested in helping us continue to make a lasting impact in the lives of people affected by Crohn’s Disease or Ulcerative Colitis, then volunteering with a Local Network is a great way to do this, by being active in your local community.
