International spotlight on our work with new US funding

The £220,000 award from The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust in the United States will make a huge difference to people with Crohn's and Colitis

The Helmsley Charitable Trust is an organisation that aspires to improve lives by supporting exceptional efforts in the U.S. and around the world. Helmsley's Crohn's Disease Program is dedicated to supporting impactful ideas and mobilising a global community committed to improving the lives of people with Crohn's.

Getting the right information out there to people who need it is at the heart of what we do at Crohn's & Colitis UK. This vitally importantly funding will help us expand our Knowledge and Evidence Team to achieve this goal.

The international award means we can speed up our initiatives and focus on providing relevant, evidence-based information and the very latest Crohn's and Colitis research results to support people in making informed decisions about their treatment and care. With this grant we will also produce vital new, information initiatives in creative ways, to inform, support and empower people living with Crohn's and Colitis.

Now more than ever, access to high-quality information is vital. Our Knowledge and Evidence Team works to make sure that when new evidence comes to light about Crohn's and Colitis, it doesn't just sit gathering dust - it reaches the people who need to know about it the most. We are immensely grateful for this generous grant from The Helmsley Charitable Trust, which will have an enormous impact on improving the lives of people with Crohn's and Colitis. It will allow us to be there with the latest developments in an easily understandable format, to give you confidence to make informed decisions about your health.

This prodigious grant comes at an important time, enabling us to continue to be there for everyone living with Crohn's and Colitis as we come out of the pandemic.
