Huge response to House of Commons IBD digital debate

Published: 22 February 2016

Thank you to everyone that contributed to our Facebook debate last week, answering three questions which will help feed into the House of Commons debate on "Treatment of Crohn's and Colitis sufferers in England".

We had over 1,200 responses to the questions which will make such a difference to the debate.

These will now be collected by the House of Commons and sent to Anne Main MP, who is sponsoring the debate, which will be taking place at on Wednesday 24 February (4:30 pm) - watch it online here

There were some very powerful and moving contributions from family members and from those living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD). Please don’t forget that the charity provides free information sheets on our website on issues ranging from diet, insurance, employment & drugs used in IBD.

We also run an Information Service where you can receive practical support and information about a range of subjects relating to IBD, whether you are:

  • Newly diagnosed or have lived with IBD for some time
  • A friend, relative, partner or carer
  • A young person with IBD, or their parent

Call the Information Service on 0300 222 5700 (from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Friday, except Thursday when the service closes at 1 pm) or email info@crohnsandcolitis.org.uk
