There is a new clinical trial for a potential new treatment for Ulcerative Colitis taking place at the Quintiles Drug Research Unit at Guy's Hospital, London.
Participate in a clinical trial
Name of trial: Study for Safety and Tolerability of TOP1288 Administered Rectally in Ulcerative Colitis Subjects
Name of medicine/drug: TOP1288
Patient enrolment period: November 2015 – April 2016
Location: London (Quintiles Drug Research Unit at Guy’s Hospital)
The drug being tested in this trial has been tested already in healthy volunteers and deemed safe and well-tolerated.
This trial will be to check that this holds true in Ulcerative Colitis patients and determine whether the disease influences the way the body handles the medication.
This trial is not funded or organised by Crohn's & Colitis UK, and therefore we cannot take responsibility for your involvement in the research.
In order for you to make an informed choice about taking part in a trial we highly recommend you consult your doctor or a member of your IBD team, and talk with the healthcare professionals managing the study before participating.
