Rylan to WALK IT for Crohn's & Colitis UK!

Published: 22 February 2020

There'll be a familiar face at one of our WALK IT events this year. Determined to raise awareness of Crohn's and Colitis, TV star Rylan Clark-Neal will be joining us in London this summer!

Talking about it can be hard. Living with it is even harder. That's why we're WALKING IT.

Our flagship event is back for 2020, so if you live it, why not WALK IT?

Our walks take place in eight picturesque locations across the UK this summer, with all the support you need en route.

Because of the stigma and misunderstanding around Crohn's and Colitis, thousands of people are suffering in silence. But they are not alone. By joining together, we can get people talking and raising funds for a future free from these often debilitating diseases.

Rylan has seen first-hand how Crohn's and Colitis can affect a loved one as his mum has Crohn's Disease. That's why Rylan is now working with Crohn's& Colitis UK to raise awareness and understanding of these diseases, and will be joining us at WALK IT London.

I'm really excited to be supporting Crohn's & Colitis UK and thrilled to be opening WALK IT London this summer. As many people may know, this charity is very close to my heart as my amazing mum has Crohn's Disease.

Crohn's and Colitis are really debilitating yet not widely spoken about. I'm happy to be shining a light on these diseases and raising awareness whilst at the same time coming together and supporting all those affected.

The charity is doing some amazing work and the funds raised from these events will enable them to do vital research, answer more calls from people needing help, and provide patient packs to hospitals across the UK. I'm really looking forward to seeing lots of people there and I hope you will join me in supporting WALK IT this year.

It takes guts to live with these lifelong diseases and that's why we'll be marching through the streets of Swansea, Plymouth, Manchester, Birmingham, London, Edinburgh, Bristol and Newcastle this summer.
