Supporters WALK IT through London for Crohn's & Colitis UK

Published: 10 June 2014

Around 1,500 people joined us at our flagship WALK IT event on Saturday 4 June and turned London PURPLE for the day.

Choosing to walk a 5km or 10km route around London, our fabulous supporters raised a staggering £130,000 for Crohn's & Colitis UK as well as priceless awarness raising of Inflammatory Bowel DIsease (IBD).

The walk was opened by TV star Sam Faiers, who herself was diagnosed with Crohn's Disease in 2014. Also in attendance was TV presenter Carrie Grant and the Deputy Lord Mayor of Westminster.

London was the charity's 4th of six national walks taking place this summer. There is one remaining event in Edinburgh (Saturday 9 July).
