We need your voice to help shape Government agenda on work, health and disability
Survey: Work, health and disability
Please take part in our short survey
The UK Government is consulting on its proposals to help reduce the disability employment gap by looking into the interaction between work, health and employment support for disabled people and those on long term sickness.
The Government views employment as a health benefit and is looking at reforms to ensure that disabled people and those on long term sickness have the opportunity to find suitable employment and can better support those with a long-term condition to stay in work.
This may mean possible reform to Employment Support Allowance (ESA), support to find and stay in work, sick pay and GP “fit notes”.
We know that people living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) often struggle to claim the support they need through Employment Support Allowance (ESA) and may need extra support to be able to stay in work so it’s crucial that those with IBD have a powerful voice in this process.
To ensure your voice is at the heart of this consultation, Crohn’s and Colitis UK have created a short survey asking questions on benefits, employment, and health.
