Winners announced for the 2021 Alex Demain Awards!

Published: 09 December 2021

The annual Alex Demain Young Fundraiser of the Year Award is very special to us here at Crohn’s & Colitis UK. The awards first began in 2016 in memory of our exceptional colleague and dear friend, Alex Demain, who sadly passed away in 2015.

Not only is the Award a way for us to remember our colleague Alex, it is also a way for us to celebrate and honour our young fundraisers by shining a light on the wonderful and magnificent ways they strive to fundraise and raise awareness for Crohn’s & Colitis UK.

The awards honour the achievements of our remarkable young fundraisers who distinctly meet our values of AmbitiousCompassionate, and Stronger Together.

This year we saw a record number of nominations, with each and every one being so inspirational, so it was no doubt that it was going to be a hard task to choose the winners!

It was our pleasure to gather virtually on Monday 6th December with Alex’s mum Cherrie and sister Sophie, and our finalists to announce our Winners, those who were Highly Commended, and our Lifetime Awareness Award winners in the Under 16s and Over 16s categories.
