The real impact of a gift in your Will

A healthcare worker in blue scrubs and a face mask holds an endoscope, with a medical monitor displaying an internal view in the blurred background.

Gifts in Wills are a vital source of funding for our work. If you have Crohn’s or Colitis, or love someone who does, you’ll know how these conditions can distance us from bodies we can trust and the lives we want to live. But a better life is within reach.

Through gifts in Wills, we’re strengthening global networks, uniting researchers and healthcare professionals and finding answers faster, together.

With a gift in your Will, you can be part of the generation turning research excellence into real-world breakthroughs, bringing us closer to a cure.

Your part in bringing a better future, closer

This year, 25,000 people will be told they have Crohn’s or Colitis. Once diagnosed, the obstacles continue. Today, there is no cure.

We’re fighting for a tomorrow where everyone living with Crohn’s or Colitis has everything they need to live well, and for a future where we don’t have to live with it at all.

A gift in your Will helps bring us closer to that future. Our ambitious strategy sets out how we’ll get there:

  • Setting out a path to a cure

We’re bringing researchers, healthcare professionals and people with lived experience
together to strengthen global research, share knowledge and fund work that’s reshaping how we understand Crohn’s and Colitis.

  • Supporting people to live well

We’re providing trusted information, improving access to our services and bringing people together through our community. So no one has to face these conditions alone.

I hope some of the values I hold close to my heart: Kindness, friendship, honesty and courage will live on through my gift.

For 77-year-old John T Goy from Scunthorpe, supporting Crohn’s & Colitis UK in his Will was a no brainer. After 54 years with Crohn’s, he hopes a cure may one day be possible.

My husband has supported me throughout my journey and we have made mirror wills and it just seemed the right thing to do to include Crohn’s & Colitis UK

Krystyna was diagnosed with Crohn's in 1973 when she was 18 years old. She had multiple hospital admissions resulting in a permanent ileostomy in 1976 just a year after she got married.

My mum was my absolute hero and a larger-than life character. I always say she was into girl power long before the Spice Girls.

For Kerry, remembering Crohn's & Colitis UK in her Will is a way of honouring her late mum Katherine’s formidable spirit.
