Muzher - Virtual Social Event
"I've attended several Virtual Social Events before, both as a co-host and as as regular attendee, and they've always been great to meet a range of other folks to share experiences."
What does volunteering at Crohn's & Colitis UK mean to you?
Seeing my efforts, however slight, help out others with Crohn's or Colitis is extremely rewarding. Even if it's just a brief chat to share something I've been through, hearing that it benefits someone else really does make my day!
Whilst I don't dwell on mistakes made in the past, I do wish I had started volunteering with Crohn’s & Colitis UK much sooner. I'd recommend it to everyone. It does take a bit of energy and commitment, but I feel you get more than enough back. Everyone involved is very supportive and understanding, especially with new folks.”
Because I have Crohn's Disease myself! I believe I can tap into the experiences I have living with Crohn's to help support others with Crohn's or Colitis. At the same time, I'm sure I can learn plenty from other volunteers too.
