The Board are delighted to welcome Liz Dobson to the team. She joins us with excellent experience and shares our ambitions for an exciting future for the Registry. We have recently faced some challenging times as we have been transitioning into our new form, and we thank all our stakeholders, especially clinical teams, for their continued support and patience during that period.
Liz brings 20 years of management experience from the private and not-for-profit sector.
She has leadership and business skills that the IBD Registry needs as a new non-profit company, as well as technical knowledge that will be helpful to the Registry as it grows.

I’m delighted to be appointed as the Registry’s first CEO at this exciting and crucial stage of its development. My aim is to help the team to build on their considerable success to date for the benefit of all our stakeholders. I’m especially keen to develop enhanced ways of supporting clinical teams to gather and harness data that can be used effectively to develop better services and deliver better outcomes for IBD patients. I look forward to working with you all to realise the very bright future I believe we can create together for the Registry.
The purpose of the Registry is to provide data to help IBD teams to provide better care to patients.
Liz will lead the team through an exciting and crucial growth stage in the Registry’s development. The role involves:
- Heading up the operational team currently based near the RCP in London;
- Responsibility for the financial and executive direction of the Registry;
- Setting the strategic direction of the Registry.
