A huge thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the IBD Patient Survey 2023. Over 15,000 people living with Crohn’s and Colitis shared their experiences of care – an incredible response.
IBD UK Benchmarking 2023 - Local reports released
We are delighted that reports based on results from the IBD Patient Survey and the complementary Service Survey, completed by your IBD team, are now live.
You can find the report for your local IBD service here: IBD UK Benchmarking local reports
These reports look at how care is being provided against the IBD Standards 2019, which say what high-quality care should look like at every point of a patient’s journey – from first symptoms, to diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing care. We encourage you to ask your IBD team if they know that the IBD UK reports are now live, and what action they are planning to take to improve your care.
The Benchmarking was run by IBD UK, a partnership of 16 organisations working together to improve care and treatment for everyone affected by Inflammatory Bowel Disease, chaired by Crohn’s & Colitis UK.
A national report will also be released in summer 2024. Crohn’s & Colitis UK and IBD UK will use this important data to continue campaigning for better care for people with the conditions across the UK.
Thanks to everyone who shared their experiences, we now have the first true picture of IBD care and treatment across the country since before the COVID-19 pandemic.
