Actor Sacha Dhawan lived with Crohn's for many years before speaking openly about his experiences with the condition.
Sacha Dhawan
Sacha supports our It Takes Guts campaign in the press and on social media, and in 2020 took part in Run The Night and hosted a Facebook Live sharing his experiences with our supporters.
For years I battled with Crohn's, and suffered in complete silence.
My biggest regret is not talking about it sooner because when I did, I discovered that I wasn't alone.
Crohn's & Colitis UK are an amazing charity with a wealth of support and resources that have helped to bridge the gap between myself and the Crohn's and Colitis community. This in turn has had a profoundly positive effect on my mental health, giving me a lot of strength and hope when I needed it the most. I can't thank the charity enough for bringing us all together and giving us the space to share our own stories - it takes guts.
