Seeking Research Partners to Deepen our Understanding of the Impact of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) on Daily Life

Crohn's & Colitis UK is actively searching for research partners to enhance our understanding of how living with Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) impacts various aspects of life.

Project Outline

This project entails a comprehensive review of publicly available IBD data, the development of methodologies for constructing quality of life metrics and indicators, and survey design to effectively capture new data.

These findings will play a pivotal role in creating a public-facing Quality of Life Dashboard to accurately represent the lived experience of individuals with Crohn’s and Colitis by presenting key health and non-health factors significantly affecting our community. The primary goal of the Dashboard is provide a visual representation of impact on quality of life for those living with IBD, based on the priorities of those living with the conditions, using metrics which illustrate improvement or deterioration in quality of life over time.
