Virtual Social Event - Young Adults

28 September 2026 | 18.30-20.00 | Online

Are you a young adult living with Crohn’s or Colitis looking to chat with others who just get it?

We know that daily life with these conditions can sometimes feel isolating, but you’re not on your own.

Our Virtual Social Events are a chance to meet others young adults across the UK, swap tips and connect with a community who just get it. You can share as much or as little as you like, or just sit back and listen.

Who can attend?

Our events are open to anyone affected by Crohn's or Colitis - those who are living with the conditions and people supporting them.

We’d love to see you - whether you’re newly diagnosed or have lived with one of the conditions for years. You can attend any of our events, no matter where you are based in the UK.

This event offers a supportive environment for young adults (aged 18 to 29) living with Crohn's or Colitis to chat to others.

How do I sign up?

Register for this free event using Eventbrite.

What can I expect?

  • A warm welcome from our volunteer hosts, who have lived experience of Crohn’s or Colitis
  • A chance to share experiences with other young adults in a friendly and relaxed space, without judgement
  • Open conversation about what it’s really like – including coping with challenges
  • Top tips on how to support a family member, friend or colleague living with Crohn's or Colitis
  • To talk about a range of different topics, from food and medication to studying, socialising and starting a family

What will I need to take part?

Joining is easy. All you need is either a laptop, tablet, phone or computer with access to a microphone. If it has a camera too then you can switch it on if you wish. You will need a stable internet connection to use the video meeting software.

What if I haven’t been sent the link?

Once you sign up, you'll be sent the meeting link to join the event on the day. You will also receive it in a reminder email before the event. The email we send might go into your junk folder, so please check before the meeting starts that you can find it.

Please note these events are:

  • Not intended to replace medical or professional advice
  • Only for those aged 18+
  • One-off events and not intended as longer-term support groups

These events are hosted by our trained volunteers. If you have any questions, please contact us at peersupport@crohnsandcolitis.org.uk.
